Message from Group Leader, Dhyan Cassie:
"Dear Friends,
We were in Florida visiting Dave’s Aunt when she had a fall and broke her hip. We stayed longer than anticipated to see her through the hospital and rehab before another relative got there. As a result, I missed the March meeting. Ken Kistler, a tinnitus patient and tinnitus advocate, was asked to lead the meeting at the last minute and, from all reports, he did an outstanding job.
Ken emphasized the Progressive Tinnitus Management [program]. A member spoke on SoundCure which he is using for tinnitus relief. Another person spoke on acupuncture and hypnosis. There was a great deal of sharing and I am sure people were helped with information and support. Thank you, Ken!
We have spoken in the past about medications, alternative treatments, sound therapy and natural herbs for tinnitus. This month we are talking about surgery for tinnitus. Surgery! More than one person has asked if something can’t be just surgically removed to stop the noise. Well, come to the meeting and find out.
We will also discuss other tinnitus relief techniques.
Hope you can attend!
~ Dhyan"
