The New Jersey Academy of Audiology’s (NJAA) fourth annual meeting, entitled “The Latest Buzz on Tinnitus,” will offer the latest perspectives on assessment, treatment and patient management strategies, including self-help groups, that can be utilized for patients with pulsatile and tonal tinnitus, announced, Janet Koehnke, Ph.D., president of NJAA.
Featured speakers for the event will include:
- Sharon Sandridge, Ph.D., Director of Audiology Clinical Services and Co-director of the Tinnitus Management Clinic and Audiology Research Lab, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH
- Anil Lalwani, MD, Director of Otology and Neurology, and Columbia Cochlear Implant Program, University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Depart of Otolaryngology, New York, NY, and
- Dhyan Cassie, Au.D., Coordinator of Tinnitus/Hyperacusis Clinic at ENT Associates, Haddonfield, N.J., and former Board Member of the American Tinnitus Association.
“In addition to receiving valuable insights on the types, causes, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome measurements for tinnitus, attendees will learn about the benefits of patient participation in self-help groups, as well as how to develop, facilitate and maintain a support group in their practice,” noted Dr. Koehnke.
Beyond the speakers, the event will include audiology student poster presentations and product exhibits.
