CA: San Francisco Tinnitus Support Group Meeting (5:30 - 7:00 p.m.)

The San Francisco Tinnitus Support Group invites you to join them at their next meeting.

When:
Tuesday, October 23, 2012
5:30 - 7:00 p.m.*
*Meetings tend to go later when there is a big group so plan accordingly.

Where:
The Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California
1234 Divisadero St., 2nd floor conference room
San Francisco, CA 94115
*There is free parking behind the building through the gate.

Note from the group leader(s):
"There are several new articles on tinnitus that have come to my attention that I think might be of interest to the group: one on Magnetic Therapy for Tinnitus and another on "The Role of Wireless Streaming in Tinnitus Management". These and others will be presented at our next meeting.

Although there were no specific tinnitus research presentations at the recent state Audiology convention, there were some interesting talks related to single sided deafness (SSD). This has come up several times at our meetings and we will fill you in on the latest treatment options. I hope those of you who have tried some of these instruments will share your experiences with us.

Because we are nearing the end of the year holidays, we combine our November/December meeting date. So if you can't make it to our October meeting, there will only be one more meeting until after the new year.

Our meetings are free and open to the public and provide support for people with tinnitus and hyperacusis and their significant others. Current information on tinnitus treatments are presented along with discussion of coping with and managing the problems associated with tinnitus and hyperacusis.

Please let us know if you will be attending the meeting by sending an email to either of us. ~Malvina Levy Au.D. (mlevy@hearingspeech.org) and Tracy Peck Au.D. (tpeck@hearingspeech.org)."
