Message from Group Leader, Dhyan Cassie:
"Dear Friends,

Wishing for you that this is the year that your tinnitus subsides and all your wishes come true. Surround yourself with love, good works, younger or older friends, good exercise and healthy food!

Last meeting we demonstrated the pitch of tinnitus. For most of you it is around 3000Hz and co-incidentally that is where most hearing loss begins. We also discussed the use of sound therapy in the form of sound machines or combination unit hearing aids. What are combination units? Come and find out.

In January we are going to discuss the articles in the latest Tinnitus Today magazine. We will hear about sound therapy, dopamine and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). We will talk about which treatment is best for you!

Bring your audiograms as always if you wish to review your test results. The more we learn about the ear and hearing, the more control we have. Tinnitus can’t control us – armed with knowledge, we can control tinnitus.

I look forward to seeing you. ~Dyhan"
