Featured Talk: "When a Doctor has Tinnitus”
To be presented by: David Z. Levine, M.D.
David Z. Levine MD, FPCP (C), CSPQ, Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa, was Head of the Division of Nephrology from 1980 to 1997. He played a vital role in the creation of Canada's first Kidney Research Centre. Dr. Levine, who has been a tinnitus sufferer for 24 years, will be speaking as a non-expert patient. He will be sharing some aspects of meditation techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy. Both approaches have been reported to help some patients cope better.

UB's Main Street Campus is located at the corner of Main Street (Route 5) and Bailey Avenue (Route 62). Farber Hall, where our meeting will be held, is accessible from Bailey Avenue. Turn off Bailey into the campus at this entrance. Turn left to enter parking area. Park in this lot which is right in front of Farber Hall. Turn left once in the building. Room 144 Farber will be on your right.
Tinnitus Treatment Center at U.B.: UB's Speech-Language & Hearing Clinic offers a range of treatment for tinnitus & hyperacusis, including a comprehensive audiological tinnitus evaluation, sound therapies, music therapies, sound generators, counseling, and hearing aids.
