San Francisco Tinnitus Support Group (5:30 - 7:00 p.m.)

The San Francisco Tinnitus Support Group invites you to join them at their next meeting.

*Meetings tend to go later when we have a big group so plan accordingly.

The Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California
1234 Divisadero St., 2nd floor conference room
San Francisco, CA 94115
*There is free parking behind the building.

Note from the group leader(s):
"In our discussion last month, there were questions about levels of sound that could be harmful to our ears and how do we know how loud these sounds are and how do we measure them. Because of your interesting questions we will spend some time at our meeting using a sound level meter and look at the ways to simply measure various sounds in our environment. We will also talk about the appropriate types of sound protection to use for different loud environments. Bring your sound measuring instruments if you have them and we can compare the measurements. If there is time, I would like to do another group relaxation exercise to end our meeting."
 
These meetings provide support for people with tinnitus and hyperacusis. Current information on tinnitus treatments are presented along with discussion of coping with a managing the problems associated with tinnitus and hyperacusis.
