Note from the group leader(s):
"We will have a speaker for our December meeting. Dr. Krelstein is a psychiatrist who has a first hand knowledge of tinnitus from his wife who suffers from tinnitus especially at night time. He has observed some of our meetings and has agreed to talk briefly about drugs and psychotherapy related to some of the associated symptoms of tinnitus such as anxiety, depression and sleep issues. There will be time for questions and discussion so I hope you can join us for this very interesting meeting.

We are continuing to look for subjects who have hyperacusis or unusual sensitivity to everyday sounds. If you have this problem and are willing to provide some information about your sensitivity, please contact Dr. Tracy Peck or myself for further information.

And thank you to all who completed the tinnitus survey. We will certainly let you know the results once we have compiled and analyzed all the data at a future meeting. The link to the survey is still available for anyone who has not completed it yet: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9J3JB39

I want to express my deepest sympathy on the passing away of Dr. Jack Vernon. He was truly a pioneer in the field of tinnitus and he will be sadly missed. If you would like to honor Dr. Vernon’s life with a donation for tinnitus research you can go to ATA’s donation page."
