Note from the group leader(s):
"We had a wonderful discussion of the Tinnitus Survey results last month and, as promised, we will present the results of our Hyperacusis study this month. There will be a power point presentation first followed by discussion. Even if you don't have sound sensitivity I think you will be interested in these results.
If there is time, I will also present some information from a Hearing Conservation workshop I attended. For those of you interested in ear protection and the differences between plugs and muffs, I have some graphs to show and other related information to share.
Questions and discussions are always a part of our tinnitus group and we encourage everyone to share his/her concerns. Our meetings are free and open to the public and provide support for people with tinnitus and hyperacusis and their significant others. Current information on tinnitus treatments are presented along with discussion of coping with and managing the problems associated with tinnitus and hyperacusis.
Please let us know if you will be attending the meeting. Donations happily accepted. -Malvina Levy, Au.D. and Tracy Peck, Au.D."
