"Turn Down Tinnitus with Brain Alteration"
Message from Group Leader, Dhyan Cassie:
"Dear Friends,
We are starting a new fall and I hope this finds you enjoying peace, and most of all, quiet. If tinnitus is ringing away in the middle of otherwise quiet moments, don't worry: we will discuss brain alteration at our September meeting.
Brain alteration! That sounds scary. Actually, this is done every day through TV, radio and roadside ads. Let's see how we can put it to use to alter the brain's perception of tinnitus. Yes, it can be done!
NPR had a 5-minute program on tinnitus in July that suggested radio static is the answer to tinnitus. We can do better than that! Also a new (to me) tinnitus "cure" came out called Tinnitus Control. I looked up the ingredients - imagine what I found. Two sprays under your tongue is not going to help with your tinnitus. We have better treatments.
I hope you can attend and join in our discussion. We are here to provide hope and help.
Sincerely, Dhyan"
