NCRAR Monthly Seminar Series 2012

NCRAR's (VA National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research) invites the public to the following monthly seminars presented by renowned scientists from around the world.

All seminars will take place at the Portland VA Medical Center (PVAMC), Building 101, Room 109 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Most are also broadcast live via v-tel to other VA facilities and are available on DVD by request from Bonnie.Becker@va.gov.

World Congress of Audiology Meeting

The World Congress of Audiology is the biennial congress of the International Society of Audiology and is held in different regions of the world to discuss important issues in relation to audiology. The XXXI World Congress of Audiology which will be held in 2012 in Moscow, will be jointly organized by the International Society of Audiology (ISA) and Russian Society of Audiology.

ATTENTION ALL TINNITUS RESEARCHERS AND HEALTH PROFESSIONALS!

The United States U.S. Department of Defense is hosting an International State-of-Science Meeting on Blast-Related Tinnitus on November 15-16, 2011 in Northern Virginia.

As you may know, acoustic trauma is the most frequently observed injury in our war fighters returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. Not surprisingly, hearing loss and tinnitus are the respective #1 and #2 compensatory illnesses reported by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
