FDA Approves Novel Tinnitus Treatment Device

The FDA has approved Lenire, the first bimodal neuromodulation device of its kind, for tinnitus treatment in the U.S. The device, developed by Neuromod Devices Ltd., delivers mild electrical pulses to the tongue while playing different sounds through headphones, which stimulates changes in the brain that can improve tinnitus symptoms. The device will be available on the U.S. market in April through licensed audiologists.
