NCRAR Seeks Individuals With Tinnitus For Research Study

Do you have Constant Tinnitus? (Ringing or Buzzing in the Ear)

Title of Study: Validation and Expansion of Established Norms for Measures of Tinnitus Perception Study ID #4188

The National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research (NCRAR) at the VA Portland Health Care System is seeking individuals with constant tinnitus (ringing, humming, buzzing noise in the ears or head) for a research study to measure tinnitus using a computerized testing system. Dr. James Henry is the Principal Investigator of this research.

You may qualify for the study if:

You have had constant tinnitus (ringing, humming, buzzing or other sounds in the ears or head) for at least 6 months.
You may be a Veteran or a non-Veteran to participate.

This is research and not treatment. Study participation requires one appointment, or four appointments over a span of about 6 months. Each appointment may last up to 3 hours. You will be paid $50.00 for each appointment, for a total of either $50 or up to $200. You may benefit from the study by having your hearing tested, and/or by learning about your tinnitus.
