Event Type:

Vancouver invites you to join us for the Tinnitus Research Initiative 2020 Pre-Conference Workshop and Conference, May 20 – 23rd, 2020 at the Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel. This perennial gathering of internationally recognized experts, researchers, specialists and clinicians in the field of tinnitus will be holding its 13th annual meeting for the first time in Canada.  This meeting is widely recognised as a platform for current research and contemporary clinical approaches in the understanding of tinnitus mechanisms, diagnostic trends and treatment methods, drawing from multiple disciplines and across many countries.

As a clinician who has spent the past 2 decades daily testing and treating tinnitus patients, I am grateful to have benefitted from the surge in scientific studies and the formulation of methods to assist my patients.  The ability to contribute some relief, some succour, has been rewarding and fulfilling. We are, of course, still far from fully comprehending the challenges that tinnitus presents and, hence, we rely on science to propel us forward, to enlighten our understanding in order to improve the quality of life of our clients.  Our theme for the TRI 2020 Conference, “From Science to Succour” encompasses this sentiment.

The conference will be held at the Marriott Pinnacle Downtown.  The Marriott is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The seawall, Stanley Park, Robson Strasse, Canada Place are all just steps away – ready to greet you or see you on your way to all the many adventures, sights, and sounds that will make you a part of the experience and keep a special place in your heart.

Our plan for TRI-2020?  An event that is scientific, informative, enlightening, inspring and empowering that will allow an opportunity for like-interested individuals to connect with each other.
