“Hearing for Life. Don’t Let Hearing Loss Limit You” is the theme of World Hearing Day (March 3), which is organized annually by the World Health Organization. More than 80 percent of people with tinnitus have some degree of hearing loss, so please take steps today – if you haven’t done so already – to get your hearing checked, download the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health’s sound-meter app (You can download the free app on iTunes), and keep earplugs with you at all times to limit noise exposure in recreational settings. Don’t let hearing loss and tinnitus limit you!
