Online Tinnitus Activities Treatment (TAT) Study: Ann Perreau, a professor of communication sciences and disorders and coordinator of Augustana College’s Audiology Clinic in Illinois, is spearheading a six-week online study of TAT, an evidence-based therapeutic management approach to alleviate the distress and challenges associated with tinnitus and its impact on daily life.
The online study offers participants with bothersome tinnitus valuable education and practical strategies to improve concentration, sleep quality, thought management and emotional well-being. Participants will take part in six weekly remote sessions that include homework and other activities to maximize their learning experience.

Online UK Tinnitus Conference: On September 25–29, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, BST, Tinnitus UK is hosting a week-long online conference, featuring international experts, that offers a different daily focus, ranging from psychology to research to practical guidance on tinnitus management. The conference is intended for physicians, audiologists and other hearing healthcare professionals, tinnitus support group leaders, researchers, and people living with tinnitus.
Guest speakers include ATA’s Scientific Advisory Chair Marc Fagelson, PhD, who will speak on the link between trauma and tinnitus; Eldre Beukes, PhD, a leading researcher of online psychological interventions for tinnitus; Carlotta Jarach, PhD, who will discuss the role of diet in tinnitus onset, and many more.
