Terms of Use/Online Participation Policy

Terms of Use/Participation

By joining/subscribing to the American Tinnitus Association community (Facebook, emails, volunteer peer-to-peer telephone/email support network, etc.), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use/Participation in their entirety. The ATA reserves the right to change these terms at any time, with or without notice. Your continued use of the community after a change constitutes agreement to the revised terms.

The ATA reserves the right to temporarily or permanently discontinue any part of the community with or without notice, as well as to remove any participant who violates the Terms of Use/Participation in letter or spirit. The ATA will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or termination of the community.

The ATA, in its sole discretion, may terminate your subscription/membership and remove and discard any content posted/emailed by you, for any reason, including, without limitation, if the ATA believes you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of the Terms of Use/Participation. Any termination of your postings/ability to post/membership under any provision of the Terms of Use may be done without notice.

Rules of Conduct

As with any community, there are rules governing behavior regarding postings/emails/conversations within the ATA community. If you do not understand any of the rules of conduct and need clarification, contact the administrator at tinnitus@ata.org. The ATA monitors the community to ensure adherence to the Terms of Use. In the event that an inappropriate posting/communication is flagged, the ATA, in its sole discretion, may take action, including suspension or termination of a person’s ability to post on our social media, email within groups, or serve as a peer-to-peer telephone/email volunteer.
