Dr. Polley is a leading researcher dedicated to understanding and developing therapies for tinnitus and hearing disorders. As Director of the Eaton-Peabody Laboratories—the world’s largest academic center devoted to hearing research—he pioneers studies on brain plasticity, investigating how changes in brain circuits can both cause and resolve hearing conditions. He also directs the Lauer Tinnitus Research Center, advancing innovative methods to measure and treat tinnitus. Dr. Polley’s current work focuses on translating breakthroughs from basic neuroscience into clinical trials aimed at silencing tinnitus.
