Sarah Theodoroff, PhD is a US Government Researcher and an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-HNS at Oregon Health & Science University. Her research focuses on auditory complaints presented in the clinic that are not adequately captured by the standard test battery nor effectively treated. Her work is informed by her clinical background as an audiologist and aims to improve patient-centered assessment and treatment protocols and increase awareness of the needs of patients with tinnitus, hyperacusis, and other decreased sound tolerance conditions among healthcare professionals and the public. Dr. Theodoroff’s current research projects are related to somatosensory tinnitus, hyperacusis, and noise sensitivity.
